How long do I have to stop shaving before waxing?
Ideally 4 to 6 weeks depending on how quickly your hair grows. A good rule of thumb is that you should be able to pick up the hair with your fingertips. If hair isn’t long enough the wax won’t be able to grab it resulting in a disappointing hair removal session.

How long will the hair stay gone?
This is by no means permanent hair removal. Hair will grow back in a few weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. Sometimes when you first begin body waxing not all hair is growing in the same cycle so you may have what seems like re-growth after a couple of weeks. Generally after 2 to 3 waxing sessions this problem is eliminated.

Does it hurt?
The short answer is yes. How much it hurts depends on where the waxing is taking place, your personal pain tolerance, hormone levels, etc. It is not excruciating and we have many techniques to make the procedure as gentle as possible. We do recommend a trial run or bikini wax before something like a Brazilian wax if you’ve never had any type of waxing service.

Will I break out after waxing?
Skin irritation in the form of little white bumps like pimples can occur. This is especially true if it’s within a few days of your menstrual cycle. An anti-inflammatory cream is applied immediately after waxing and will decrease this occurrence. Also the more regular you receive waxing for the same area will cut down on skin irritation.

I have super sensitive skin. Can I receive waxing services?
Most likely you can. We do recommend coming in for a patch test to make sure your skin will tolerate a full waxing service. Please note: If you have a specific allergy please let us know and we’ll be happy to check all our ingredients before your scheduled service.

What if it’s during my menstrual cycle and time for my waxing service?
If you are on your period you will need to reschedule your service if it is a bikini or Brazilian wax for sanitary reasons. (This is also true if you are having any other issues with that area such as yeast or bacterial infections. We ask that you complete any treatment before rescheduling your bikini or Brazilian service.) Skin sensitivity is at its highest within 3 days of your period which can result in more break outs, more pain, and possibly damaging the skin. So it will be up to you for other facial or body waxing if it’s within 3 days of your menstrual cycle.
